We Completed This Pickleball Court Installation at an Apartment Complex in Pflugerville
The Highland Lakes Outdoor Living team was excited to partner with the Bower/Brio Apartments in Pflugerville on a recent pickleball court installation project that brings both functionality and fun to their residents’ doorstep. This new pickleball court will serve the complex and its tenants well for years to come.
Meeting the Demand for Modern Amenities
The Bower/Brio Apartment Complex is a new development that is focused on providing an exceptional living experience. As part of their push to offer top-notch amenities, they reached out to our team after discovering our outdoor living and pickleball court installation services through a web search.
The popularity of pickleball continues to surge across the United States and more residential communities are taking note. In 2024, there were over 19.8 million recreational pickleball players, making it one of the fastest-growing sports. Many apartment complexes are looking for ways to stand out in a competitive market, and offering high-quality recreational amenities can be a great way to do that.
While this was our first project with this client, we were eager to help them create a space that would improve their property offerings and attract active, community-minded tenants.
The Rise of Pickleball: Why Apartment Complexes Are Investing
Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in America, and its appeal spans all age groups. Blending elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, it’s accessible, fast-paced, and easy to learn, which makes it ideal for apartment residents looking to stay active without leaving the property.
From a property manager’s perspective, investing in pickleball court installation isn’t just about recreation. It’s a strategic amenity that adds value, encourages community engagement, and helps increase tenant satisfaction and retention. In highly competitive rental markets like Pflugerville, these features can make all the difference for potential tenants.
Our Process: Collaborative, Efficient, and Budget-Friendly
For this project, the Brio team had already contracted a concrete crew to pour the court base. Highland Lakes Outdoor Living was brought in to finish the job, handling the acrylic sport paint application, the surface-mounted net poles and system, and the installation of a horseshoe pit nearby.
One of the key ways we added value to the project was by consulting on design and color selection. Our team proposed a few different sport paint color combinations, helping the client choose an option that balanced visual appeal with practicality. For the horseshoe pit, we offered material recommendations that aligned with both the space and the client’s budget goals.
Quality That Lasts
Durability was a top concern, and our use of acrylic sport paint over the freshly poured concrete ensures long-lasting performance and low maintenance. The surface-mount net system provides a clean look while offering flexibility should future upgrades or adjustments be needed.
A Win for Residents and Property Owners
With the pickleball court installation now complete, the Brio Apartment Complex offers a recreational amenity that appeals to both casual players and serious pickleball enthusiasts. It’s the kind of upgrade that not only enhances the property’s curb appeal but also fosters a sense of community. This encourages residents to gather, stay active, and enjoy where they live.
